Engineering / Earlier work

A practice of building, testing and learning.

Selected engineering projects across energy, vending and environmental monitoring inform our approach to SmartTech Cambodia’s first product. The healthcare machine remains in development.

01 / Selected project material

Ideas made physical.

Mechanical cleaning prototype spanning a solar panel
Energy · engineering prototype

Adjustable solar-panel cleaning

A mechanical concept explored through iterative design and demonstration. Measured energy or cleaning outcomes are not claimed.

Earlier vending prototype with a digital payment display
Commerce · engineering prototype

Cashless vending

An adapted refrigerator vending prototype explored product selection and digital payment interaction. It is separate from the proposed healthcare machine and current ABA sandbox work.

Rice-field water monitoring

An exploration of sensors and wireless data for alternate wetting and drying monitoring. Swisscontact's DeiMeas report describes field tests of an ITC water-sensor prototype; it does not identify SmartTech Cambodia as a project partner.

02 / Independently reported milestone

A documented Cambodian engineering achievement.

The Mekong River Commission reports that an Institute of Technology of Cambodia team won the rainfall category of its 2023 student technology competition.

03 / Our approach

Build only what the problem demands.

For the healthcare product, the next engineering milestone is a safe, measurable pilot, not a claim of scale.

Define

Start with customer, location, legal, technical and economic requirements.

Build

Combine physical design, software and payment controls around the actual purchase journey.

Verify

Test customer use, payment-to-delivery, maintenance and costs in real conditions.

Decide

Improve, pause or expand only when evidence and permissions support the decision.

Engineering collaboration

Explore the technical plan behind the first product.
